My Favorite End of the Year Self Reflection

The end of a cycle is when self reflection is the medicine. You may already be looking back at the lessons of the year, and what you desire in the year ahead.

I wanted to share a year-end self reflection I use. It may help to structure your personal review.

This could be the simplest, yet most impactful self reflections for the end of a cycle. It bypasses our inner “shoulds” and judgements, which are the basis of a lot of “intentions.”

It goes right to the heart of the guidance of our lived experience

What you went through, how you experienced life was the result of so many forces:

- The patterns in your various energetic containers (work, family, etc)

- imprinted-patterned perspectives and responses

- conscious choices

Of these, the only force we can truly affect, is that of our choices.

The only way we want to change our choices, is to make more of the ones which resulted in us having healthy, happy, healing experiences.

So, the exercise is to actively place our attention on these choices. To be grateful we made them. To acknowledge their positive effects so we can naturally make more of these kinds of choices.

Looking back at the cycle you are considering, what were all the choices you consciously made which led to a better feeling experience?

I have my list below. It’s just here to get your wheels turning and give you an example. It took me 10 minutes.

Let’s self select for ways to choose which feel good in all parts of us.

Hope you end the year a bit more in love with who you are,

Besos,

Dr. Siva
