I've managed my IBS for 10+ years with Ayurveda, but digestion ailments are not ever solved. My symptoms are a series of patterns I know how to prevent with Ayurveda.
But, sometimes, I don't.
I travel, or eat things that my guts don't love as much as my heart does.
Ayurveda has given me the awareness and tools to attend to my symptoms. But the benefits are much more than temporary relief. I'm actually healing my tissues and reversing imbalances.
What's more, is that the healing work I did with digestion helped to heal other parts of me - the benefits to my skin, my autoimmune tendencies, and my mood were obvious.
I experience the symptom patterns much less often, and less intensely. I know how to hear what my tummy is telling me, and adjust accordingly.
This is why I love Ayurveda - it connects us to our bodies and inner wisdom, while offering natural tools to feel better.
