While most of healthy eating in mainstream media centers around what you eat, how you eat actually has just as much of an impact!
In fact, if you are eating healthy food in a way that doesn't support your body to digest it, you're still going to suffer from symptoms and malabsorption.
Simple changes to how we eat can make a big difference!
For example, eating for your personal portion size is a game changer for many. Simply cup your two hands together to form the shape of a bowl. That bowl is the quantity ideal for your stomach to process food in one setting. Imagine just filling this hypothetical bowl to the top, level, not heaping. Of course, we may have stretched our stomachs with overeating over time, but the stomach can shrink back to it's ideal size as well.
In addition to personal portion size, there are 8 approaches which have completely changed my eating experience. Of course, there are still days where life happens and I don't do all of these. But that's the beauty of Ayurveda, it's incredibly effective even when practiced imperfectly.
I made this tip sheet (downloadable PDF below) so you can print it out and keep it on your fridge, or wherever you eat.
