Guided breathing exercise to calm down and deactivate

Uncategorized

Feel like you can't turn off when you try to meditate? Yeah, me too.

So I created a simple exercise to target my sympathetic nervous system, and get my body out of "get it done" mode.

We engage the mind with self talk, and keeping count (12 is a multiple of 108).

While you inhale (through the nose), focus on expansion, and receiving life force.

While you exhale (through the mouth), focus on relief and release.

You can say the mantra aloud or in your mind. Both work, so you can do this anywhere, anytime you feel anxious or overactivated (aka have signs of Vata imbalance).
